Hotstone massage

Practiced in ancient medicine for centuries, a heated stone massage is a technique that is renowned for its healing and relaxing properties, while providing individuals with a unique way to indulge. This specialty massage utilizes carefully placed heated stones, which is believed to rejuvenate and soothe the body and mind.

Definition of Heated Stone Massage

Seaweed wrap

A thin warm seaweed paste (usually combined with essential oils) is applied to the entire body which is then wrapped in plastic and covered with a warm blanket. This technique provides relaxation, nourishes the skin with minerals and energizes. It also helps eliminates toxin and relieve muscle and joint pain. Known to reduce cellulitis.

Bamboo massage

Bamboo Massage Sticks "Bamboo-fusion" massage incorporates different lengths and diameters of bamboo or rattan to provide deep-tissue work. Warmed smooth bamboo, is integrated into a flowing Swedish massage. It brings the warming, soothing effect of hot stone into massage without all the extra time, mess, and prep work that stone therapy brings. Since there is not all the extra work it can be done without having to charge more for the extra preparation.

 Thai Poutice massage

Thai Poultice Massage

The Herbal Poultice treatment utilizes warmed muslin poultices of Thai and Chinese herbs and spices that are steamed and applied directly to the body in a kneading action.  Described by many as a heavenly health treatment, this healing procedure is unchanged since Thailand's Ayutthaya period (14th-18th century) when an aromatic, heated pack was administered to soldiers worn down from the war after returning home with sore, bruised muscles.
This traditional treatment has been practiced to soothe muscle tension, inflammation and stiffness on the key areas. Heat and herbs are absorbed by the body to help to reduce aches and pains, increase lymphatic drainage and condition the skin.  It is especially beneficial post partum.
Unlike Western massage, Thai massage focuses on energy conduits throughout the body, and aims to harmonize one's energy, loosen up blockages, and repair deficiencies along these energy lines.  It relaxes the muscles while stimulating blood circulation and energy flow

Ohhh .... this four spa treatments that I always wanted everytime Im visiting spa... put my mind and body in heavenly states ... rejuvenate and feel a brand new person.
